Gulab Jamun
Gulab Jamun is a traditional Indian dessert. The spongy and yummy texture of Gulab jamun makes everyone mouth watery and of course it is one of favorite dessert of all sweet tooth's. It is a milk solids based dessert; simple easy to make at home. Serve  it warm or topped with ice cream. Here is the recipe of Eggles gulab jamun with simple ingredients.

Ingredients:
  1. Milk powder-1 cup
  2. Maida / flour- 1 tbsp
  3. Baking Soda- 1/4 tsp
  4. Water-3 tbsp (or little more)
  5. Cardamom powder- 1/4 tsp
  6. Butter soften-1 tbsp
  7. Semolina-1 tbsp
  8. Water-1 tbsp
  9. Oil /ghee-for deep frying
Ingredients For The Sugar Syrup:
  1. Sugar- 1 1/2 cup
  2. Water- 1 1/2 cup
  3. Cardamom powder-1/4 tsp ( or Saffron strands -few.) 
  4. Sliced pistachios-to garnish (optional)
Preparation:
  • In a small bowl mix semolina with 1 tbsp of water and keep it aside.
  • In another large mixing bowl; add milk powder and soften butter; crumble it well with hands.
  • Add baking powder and soaked semolina.
  • Crumble it again with hands.
  • Make a well in the center and add 3 tbsps of water.
  • Add flour and mix well o form a dough without any lumps (add little more water if necessary).No need to knead well. 
  • Rest it covered for 5 minutes.
  • After that grease your hands well with water or oil and make small balls out of the dough. There must be no cracks in the dough.
  • Heat a pan with oil; when it is hot make the flame to low; add the prepared balls one by one without over crowding.
  • Fry them in low flame until nice golden brown in color evenly.
  • Meanwhile prepare the sugar syrup in another bowl by adding sugar and water.
  • When it starts boiling add cardamom powder and lemon juice; mix well.
  • When it boils well add fried gulab jamuns. (Gulab jamuns must be warm while adding to the syrup; not hot or not so cold).
  • Cook them n syrup for a minute and turn off heat.
  • Cover the lid and soak them in syrup for at-least 4 hours.
  • Serve chilled with slices of pistachios or by topping it with a scoop of ice cream.
